Hayden Lake Chert is associated with the Hayden Lake Formation of the Tetagouche Group of New Brunswick.  Named for exposures in the Hayden Lake area near Hayesville, York County, New Brunswick.  Also occurs along the South Renous River in Northumberland County southwest to Southwestern Miramichi River and to Rocky Brook near Napadogan and on Lower Birch Island.
