Grandeur Chert is associated with the Grandeur Limestone Formation of northwestern Utah.  Primarily occurs as nodules in limestone exposures on Hill Air Force Range, 3 miles east of Ripple Valley, Grassy Mountains, and the Hogup Mountains, Tooele County, Utah.
