Distribution:
Distribution Comments:
Double H Mountains Obsidian occurs as both outcroppings and nodules near the headwater of Pretty Creek, Rock Creek, Moonshine Crossing, Hoppin Spring, and the Sentinel Rock area in the Double H and Montana mountains. Float sources in the surrounding mountains include Sod House, Titus Point, Quinn River Crossing, Sentinel Rock, upper Quinn River, and the Kings River in Humboldt County, Nevada.  These sources were produced by the McDermitt Caldera which produced much of the obidian in Malheur County, Oregon and the Santa Rosa Range.  Whitehourse Obsidian is part of this geochemical group.
