Color:  Deepkill Chert ranges in color from a pale greenish gray to a bright apple green.  Grays including a bluish gray and a reddish gray does occure.

Deepkill Chert is associated with the Deepkill formation of the lower Hudson River valley of New York and into Pennsylvania.  Primary outcroppings are found at Mt. Merino and Flint Mine Hill,, New York.
