Cuesta Quartzite has primary outcroppings along the divide of the inner
and outer coastal plains of New Jersey. Cuesta Quartzite is named
after the cuesta (a gentle ground slope with a steep face or cliff on
the upper edge) that separated the Inner and Outer Coastal Plains of New
