Description of Physical Characteristics:

Color:  Cowhouse Chert is nodules eroded from many different formations producing a Varity of chert types.  The most common color is white ranging to gray or brown.  Speckles, mottled, streaking, and fossiliferous hash commonly occurs as well as novaculite and petrified wood.  Types include: white, dark gray, light gray, brown flecked, fossiliferous light brown, banded and mottled,  mottled with flecks, shell hash, streaked, two toned, novaculite, and petrified wood.
