Conococheague Chert is associated with the Conococheague Limestone Formation of Virginia.  Primarily occurs as nodules and stringers around South Holston Lake and in Lee County, Virginia, King Ridge behind Washington County Industrial Park, and the junction of State Route 664 and 669 in Virginia.  Named for exposures along Conococheague Creek in Scotland, Franklin County, Pennsylvania.
