Cockfield Orthoquartzite is associated with the Cockfield Formation of the Clairborne Group of Mississippi, Louisiana and Arkansas.  Outcroppings occur along bluffs near Tchula, Holmes County, Mississippi and in Caldwel and Winn Parishes in Louisiana.  Named for Cockfield Ferry, Winn Parish, Louisiana.  This is a local material.
