Canutillo Chert is associated with the Canutillo Limestone Formation of the Delaware Basin of west Texas.  Primary exposures occur in San Andres Canyon in the San Andres Mountains and in the northern end and western portion of the Franklin Mountains, El Paso County, Texas.
