Canoe Landing Lake Chert is associated with the Canoe Landing Lake Formation of the California Lake Group of New Brunswick.  Primary exposures occur around Canoe Landing Lake with the best exposures occurring along Nine Mile Brook downstream from the intersection of Nine Mile Road in Gloucester County, New Brunswick.  Also occurs in the Bear Lake area adjacent to the Moose Lake - Tomogonops Fault.
