Buckskin Mountain Chert is associated with the Buckskin Mountain of northeastern Nevada.  Primary outcroppings occur near Buckskin Mountain and the north side of Humboldt River near Carlin Canyon and Pinon Range in Elko County, Nevada.  Outcroppings also occur in the western flank of the HD Range and in the northern Leach Mountains.
