Brazos River Chert occurs as nodules in the Mineral Wells Conglomerate, associated with the Mineral Wells Formation.  It extends from the Brazos River to Mineral Wells.  Primary beds are seen along the Texas Pacific Railway between Gordon and Santo Texas.
