Askin Quartzite is associated with the middle member of the Askin Group of the Yukon.  Occurring as beds with exposures occur on McConnell Peak near the headwaters of the McConnell River, around Quiet Lake on Fox Mountain, the Pelley Mountains, in the northwestern Glenlyon Mountains and Tummel Basin.
