Archaeological Context:
Aquia Orthoquartzite was primarily used during the Paleo Period to Early
Archaic period. During the late Early Archaic period into the Woodland
period Aquia Orthoquartzite was replaced by quartzite. It is
suggested that Aquia Orthoquartzite could have been used in the lower
Susquehanna River valley.
