Color:  Alibates Agatized Dolomite is primarily banded, speckles, or mottled with colors commonly ranging from red, blue, purple, brown, cream, and white.

Distribution Comments:

Alibates Agatized Dolomite is associated with the Quartermaster Formation of the Texas Panhandle occurring as lenses and nodules.  The upper Canadian River runs though the formation where outcroppings are present washing the material throughout the Canadian River in southeastern Oklahoma where it is more commonly found in cobble form.
